A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Hello, [ADVENTURER]. We have a quest for you. Near a strange, forgotten tower, people have gone missing. Ascend it and find out why.

This game is entirely text based. It will take under an hour to complete, and will certainly not leave strange things in frightening places.

Newly ported to MacOS thanks to my secondhand MacBook! Love to see it!!

Install instructions

Windows users: Download and extract 'The Tower (Windows).zip' with your preferred archive extraction tool (I use 7zip). Doubleclick 'theTower.exe' to play.

MacOS users: Download and extract 'The Tower (MacOS).zip' with the built-in archive extractor. Doubleclick 'theTower.exe' to play. By default, MacOS automatically blocks apps from unknown developers for security reasons, and the Tower will trigger this. Open System Settings -> Security and Privacy -> scroll down to security. Press "Run anyway" under the Tower's entry here, then allow access to the folder you have the Tower inside. You'll then be able to play.

This is a self-contained Python script and will not install anything on your computer. To remove, just delete the downloaded files.
